This festival will take place at Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church at 4949 Alton Parkway from June 29th through July 1st, starting at 5pm on Friday and at noon on Saturday and Sunday. During this festival, you’ll get the chance to enjoy Greek cooking demonstrations, folk dance performances, church tours, and live music. This festival also offers exciting carnival rides and a variety of delicious Greek pastries and food to try. 2. Corn Festival
This fair will take place at Tanaka Farms at 5380 University Drive on July 1st from 10am to 3pm. Along with enjoying acres of sweet ears of corn prepared in many ways at this summer fair, there will be other delicious food and drink options available. Spend a fun-filled day with plenty of games to play, face-painting, samples to try, and shopping from vendors offering beautiful crafts. The excitement doesn’t stop there because the fair also offers wagon rides and ATV rides throughout the day.
3. Stone Soul and Adam Lasher Music Event
This free concert will take place at Mason Regional Park at 18712 University Drive on July 5th from 5pm to 8pm. Spend a summer night in Irvine at the park with family and friends enjoying a concert in a friendly atmosphere. There will be food trucks on-site and a beer and wine garden available for individuals 21 and over.
4. Pacific Symphony: Symphony in the Cities
This free outdoor symphony led by music director Carl St. Clair will take place at Mike Ward Community Park at 20 Lake Road on July 29th at 7pm. Before the concert at 5:30pm there will be a musical playground for kids featuring interactive activities such as playing the drums and making an instrument. Bring your blankets or folding chairs for seating and treats to snack on. There will be gourmet food trucks with food to buy on-site.
5. 2018 Sunset Cinema Film Series
On July 13th and July 20th, you can enjoy watching a free movie under the stars at Mason Regional Park at 18712 University Drive. Movies start at approximately 8pm. On July 13th, they will be showing the movie Trolls, and on July 20th they will be playing Ghostbusters. There is free parking, starting at 6pm. Pack your beach chairs, a picnic, and blankets and head to the park to enjoy a classic movie with family and friends. There will be a beer and wine garden for individuals 21 and over and food trucks on-site offering delicious snacks and meals.
6. Splash-In Movie and Recreation Swim 2018
This summer movie event in Irvine will take place at the William J. Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center at 4601 Walnut Avenue on August 25th at 6:30pm. Bring your family as well as your floating devices and swimsuits to the pool to watch the family-friendly movie The Secret Life of Pets on the big screen while hanging out in the water. There will be lifeguards on duty. The movie will start at dusk.
