Irvine Lifestyle

One of the safest cities in the United States

In 2008, the City of Irvine was ranked fourth by CNN Money as one of the best places to live in the country and was ranked number one in 2011 by the FBI with the lowest crime level for cities over 100,000 people.  The Irvine real estate market began development in the 1960s and continues to this day in some of the newest developments of Woodbury, Portola Springs, Stonegate and Laguna Altura.  Irvine is the central hub of Orange County and is not far from the beautiful beaches of Laguna Beach, Newport Coast, Newport Beach, and Corona Del Mar.  Irvine is also close to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm as well as two professional sports teams – the Anaheim Angels and Anaheim Ducks.  Irvine is conveniently located off the 405 and 5 Freeways south of the 55 Freeway as well as just east off the 73 Toll Road.

Irvine is served by Irvine Unified School District, one of the top-rated school districts in California.  Many families with school-aged children relocate to this area for the schools and the convenience of being centrally located in order to save time on the commute to work or other nearby cities.

Irvine has a wide variety of community activities: parks in almost every neighborhood, two lakes, golf courses, and numerous shopping centers with restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and more.  Golf courses in Irvine include Strawberry Farms, Rancho San Joaquin, and Shady Canyon Golf Club.  One of the most popular places is the Irvine Spectrum, an outdoor shopping mall featuring tons of shops, restaurants, and a large movie theater with 21 screens and an IMAX theater.
