The Irvine Film Fest Is Right Around the Corner

The Irvine Film Festival invites filmmakers and fans to experience a wide range of entries. Their diverse group of titles are handpicked and judged by a panel of industry experts. From special presentations to interactions with the cast and crew, there is something for everyone.

The festival’s 2016 edition runs from January 15th until January 21st. Tickets for all events go on sale January 1st, 2016. Festival passes are the preferred ticketing choice that gives visitors and exhibitor a no-hassle way to experience every event. These passes cost just $200 and cover the full event. Day passes are also available for $40. This year, expect top-quality selections that represent the best of independent cinema. Here are a few highlights.

Don’t Speak and Night of the Slasher

It’s horror night for the festival. Take in this special combination of a full-length feature and short horror entry. In Don’t Speak, a sinister village is the only hope for a group of adults. As they begin to encounter dangers, the group must face an uncertain fate. Night of the Slasher was shot in one take by director Shant Hamassian. Its tale focuses on the horror movie sins a young girl must commit in order to lure a killer into her specially crafted revenge.

This feature length film takes viewers into a world of intrigue. Director Shahim Sharif brings to life this story set in both the 1950s and 1990s.
