Anaheim Marketplace Dia de Los Muertos

The third annual Day of the Dead celebration at the Marketplace, located at 1440 South Anaheim Boulevard, will take place on November 6. Noche de Altares in Santa Ana

One of the most colorful Day of the Dead celebrations is organized each year by The Centro Cultural de Mexico in Santa Ana. On November 5, the block section between 4th and Birch Streets will be transformed into a festive Mexican town square from noon until 10pm. There will be a religious and social awareness celebration at this event. Families are encouraged to make an altar in honor of the dearly departed or to call attention to an issue that affects the community. Children will be able to enjoy face painting as well as sweet treats from local restaurants, and Mexican musicians will dedicate songs to those who are no longer with us.

Located at 29 Hubble Street, Pretend City is one of the happiest spots for children in Irvine. Each year, the Pretend City Children’s Museum offers families an opportunity to celebrate Dia de los Muertos on the day after Halloween.
